For several years now, we have been organizing Round Table meetings on a variety of compliance topics. It quickly became clear that there was a need for a network to build knowledge and share “best practices.” Both compliance officers and general and legal counsel whose responsibilities include compliance matters find it valuable to have the policies they are familiar with reviewed by external experts. For many, the setting of the Compliance Round Tables provides a safe environment to discuss numerous—often sensitive—topics with compliance professionals from outside their own organizations who are in the same boat.
Interest in the Compliance Round Tables has grown significantly—so much so that, strictly speaking, it can no longer really be called a “Round Table.” To continue meeting the need for knowledge sharing as effectively as possible, we have created a LinkedIn Group called Compliance Round Table so that you can easily connect with one another online. This group is open to legal professionals (both in-house and in private practice) and compliance professionals who are (partly) responsible for compliance policy, including risk, data protection, and privacy. The group serves no commercial purpose but is intended exclusively for substantive discussions, the exchange of experiences, the interpretation of laws and regulations, current events, comparative international law, etc. Advertisements, job postings, links to websites or blogs, as well as other commercial activities, will be removed.
