What do you focus on at Voxius?

At Voxius, I focus on identifying and assessing suitable candidates for both the Legal and Compliance divisions. I review resumes, identify relevant experience and expertise, and determine which candidates best match our clients’ needs and job openings. In addition, I reach out to potential candidates and make initial contact. I find it interesting to look not only at someone’s resume, but also at the person behind it and what they’re looking for in their next career move. In this way, I strive to create a strong and suitable match between the candidate and the client.

What did you do before you started working at Voxius?

Before joining Voxius, I thoroughly enjoyed taking charge of accounts receivable at the accounting firm Brand Boekhouders. There, I learned a great deal about working accurately and in a structured manner, as well as about interacting with a variety of clients. In addition, I completed my bachelor’s degree in Law and this year began my master’s degree in Information Law, which I’m really enjoying so far. The combination of my legal background and my interest in practical work ultimately inspired me to join Voxius. Here, I can apply my legal knowledge in a different way while also learning a lot about recruitment and the world of Legal and Compliance.

What part of your job gives you the most energy?

I think the search for the right match is what gives me the most energy. I enjoy really delving into someone’s background and experience and then discovering which opportunities are a good fit. It’s very rewarding when, based on that research, you can help someone take an interesting new step in their career. I also find the interplay between my master’s in Information Law and my work at Voxius to be very valuable. At Voxius, I get a glimpse into legal practice, while at the same time I can apply the knowledge and analytical skills I gained during my law studies to my work. I find that combination of theory and practice very interesting.

What do you do in your free time besides your work at Voxius?

In addition to my work at Voxius, I really enjoy continuing to develop myself in various areas. I’ve been making music (playing the piano and violin and writing songs) my whole life, and for me, it’s the ultimate outlet after a day of studying or working. I also really enjoy taking acting classes, and I love staying active: running and yoga are great ways for me to stay active and clear my head. Recently, I’ve also started taking Krav Maga self-defense classes and French lessons, and I hope to get better at those soon, too. And of course, hanging out on a patio with friends is a must on this list!
