Operating at the heart of this transformation, the Risk & Compliance function provides critical insight and challenge to support informed decision-making across the business. The Enterprise Risk Management team sits at the centre of this agenda. The team is working across a wide range of topics, from sustainability and major transformation programmes to finance, cyber security, operational risk and health & safety. Based on its strategic position within the organisation, ERM offers one of the broadest and most impactful risk mandates within Tata Steel.

The Position
As Risk Lead Enterprise Risk Management, you will play a leading role in shaping and advancing Tata Steel Nederland’s enterprise-wide risk framework. Reporting to the Head of Risk, you will be responsible for translating strategic objectives into meaningful risk insights and enabling effective decision-making at Board and Executive level.
You will:
- lead strategic risk assessments, facilitate risk workshops across the organisation;
- help define, maintain and embed the company’s risk appetite framework;
- oversee enterprise risk reporting;
- develop risk dashboards and KRIs;
- perform scenario analyses to support critical business decisions;
- will provide independent risk challenge on major investment projects, transformation initiatives and M&A activities, including risk due diligence.
Working closely with senior stakeholders across multiple business functions, you will ensure that emerging and escalating risks are identified, analysed and addressed in a structured and pragmatic manner.
This is a highly visible role with exposure to a broad spectrum of strategic topics and direct interaction with executive leadership.

The Profile
You are a senior risk professional who combines strategic thinking with strong stakeholder management skills. You are comfortable engaging with Board members as well as operational leaders several layers deeper in the organisation. You know how to challenge constructively, facilitate discussions and translate complex risk concepts into practical business insights. You are a professional who adapts easily in a dynamic organization.
You bring:
- Extensive experience in Enterprise Risk Management, Strategic Risk, Corporate Risk or a related field;
- Experience with risk taxonomy development and risk appetite frameworks;
- Proven expertise in strategic risk assessments and risk workshops;
- Strong knowledge of KRIs, risk reporting and dashboarding;
- Experience conducting scenario analyses and stress testing;
- Experience assessing large-scale projects and investment risks;
- Exposure to M&A risk due diligence processes;
- Familiarity with recognised risk frameworks such as COSO and/or ISO 31000;
- A Master’s degree or equivalent professional level of education.
