Position

The Legal Counsel will be given space to operate independently, while having the opportunity to collaborate with his team members. The legal team consists of three highly empowered and business oriented lawyers with broad responsibilities who enjoy working in an international and fast-paced environment. The legal team at Schoeller Allibert is responsible for overseeing all legal matters within the company, handling a diverse range of legal tasks across various areas.

Key responsibilities in this role include:

  • Commercial Contracting: Negotiating, drafting, and reviewing contracts for the company’s operations, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Intellectual Property: Supporting and advising on R&D / IP matters, including joint development pland, protection and enforcement of trademarks, patents, and other proprietary assets.
  • Legal risk management: Identifying and mitigating potential legal risks associated with the group’s activities;
  • Corporate Legal Work: Managing a variety of corporate legal matters.

Working in a small team of lawyers, you need to bring a flexible and down-to-earth personality and the capacity to work independently with many internal and external stakeholders

Profile

You are a strong and independent legal business advisor. You have a University degree in (preferably Dutch) law and three to six years of working experience in an international working environment. Law firm experience is considered a plus. You are fluent in English (written and spoken). Speaking Dutch is considered a plus.

Working in a small team of lawyers (four lawyers including the person who will fill this position) you need to bring a flexible and down-to-earth personality and the capacity to work independently with many internal and external stakeholders.
