Due to the growth of the organization, Pharming is currently looking for a Corporate Compliance & Privacy Officer to further strengthen their professional team. The Corporate Compliance & Privacy Officer reports to the Executive Director Corporate & Healthcare Compliance and also works closely with the Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer.

The Position

As a Corporate Compliance & Privacy Officer at Pharming, you will play a vital role in ensuring ethical conduct and regulatory compliance across the organization. You’ll strategically advise senior management and partner with various teams to uphold corporate governance standards, especially in relation to Euronext and Nasdaq listing requirements, as well as EU and global data privacy regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic guidance to senior management on ensuring compliance with Dutch and US corporate laws and regulations applicable to listed companies.
  • Execute tasks and responsibilities outlined in the Insider Code and other relevant policies.
  • Manage notification responsibilities to regulatory authorities e.g. the AFM and SEC.
  • Advise business teams on compliance with EU and global privacy requirements, including GDPR and local regulations.
  • Collaborate with external Data Protection Officers (DPOs) and assess opportunities for insourcing privacy functions.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of the Global Business Integrity program.
  • Assist in compliance risk assessment, trend analysis, and root cause analysis, with a focus on corporate and privacy compliance.
  • Coordinate Business Integrity Intranet pages and facilitate effective business integrity committee meetings.
  • Report regularly to senior management on business integrity risks related to corporate compliance and privacy.
  • Stay updated on corporate compliance regulations and practices, and provide education and training to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) with advanced data privacy certification or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 years of combined experience in corporate compliance and data privacy within the EU, preferably in the life sciences industry.
  • Expert knowledge of GDPR standards, corporate compliance, and familiarity with data privacy regulations in Pharma/Biotech healthcare.
  • Experience with listing requirements at European listed companies, preferably Dutch, with knowledge of EU market abuse regulations. Experience with US listing requirements (SEC and Nasdaq) is a plus.
  • Strong risk management skills and ability to work effectively in global, cross-functional teams.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Dutch is advantageous.
